About Delfino

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a high-energy libero who maintains discipline under very high-pressure situations, who takes as much court space as possible within the game. I'm disciplined in ball control, consistency, and reading the opponents. I take my serve, receive, and defense very seriously, as I understand that being a libero is a position where I have to maintain it flowing to run the correct plays offensively.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm very committed, my morals fall under being super coachable, and I understand that volleyball is a sport where discipline is key and where I can always improve to become the best version of myself. I bring a positive mindset to my teammates and games. Not only do I push myself within the sport, but I also push everyone around me in order to be on the same page.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Lead community improvement efforts by organizing events and assisting residents, including the annual Thanksgiving food program. Maintain clean and welcoming public spaces to ensure a positive environment for all community members. Demonstrate strong teamwork and reliability through consistent participation in large-scale volunteer projects. I've also taken volunteering hours coaching privates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Father passed on April 14. As a result, I missed an entire week of school due to my father's death and funeral, which took place in Mexico. During this time, I fell significantly behind academically. I was trying to navigate the grief of my father's passing while also trying to keep up with school and volleyball. This sudden loss made me feel disoriented and surreal. However, I was able to recover

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a university with a high-level Biomedical Engineering or biological sciences program where I can also compete as a Libero. Driven by personal experience, my mission is to innovate in prosthetics and biomechanics to help others regain their mobility.
