About Eden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my play gameplay style as gritty and always ready to go. I'm always looking for ways to improve and learn more to become a faster, consistent, loud, encouraging libero.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to get every ball. No ball drops with effort from me. I think that mistakes are apart of the game, and it's important to shake them off and focus on the next play. You can learn from past mistakes and apply it towards becoming better. So, you shank a ball - don't get timid or doubt yourself, instead, you want them to serve you again so you can dime it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received high honors and honors for academics.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Some skills I have developed from volleyball are for one, being mentally tough. Especially in high pressure situations where you make a mistake it's important to shake it off and not let it affect how you play negatively. Another skill I've developed from volleyball is staying calm when things are chaotic.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I faced was breaking my finger freshmen year during club and having to sit out of a tournament. It was torture for me because I love playing volleyball. The doctors told me I would be out for 4-6 weeks but I couldn't help but practice and end up playing the next tournament with a wrapped up finger. I pushed through to play because volleyball is my passion and so is my team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking to play at a high level competitive college where I can learn and grow as a person and player. I want to play at the division 1 level preferably, but I'm keeping my options open to division 2 as well. My main goal is to find a college that I connect with and really can see myself playing there. I want to be at a college where there is positive coaching staff and team culture.
