About Elizabeth

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Athletic, 6 rotational player. Very long. Can play every position on the court including, MB/MH, RS. Also spent time setting due to injury to setter during Freshman Varsity season. Smart player, can see the court. Strong in serve/receive, passing, and digging.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a high energy team player that brings it every game. I love to compete and I love to win, but understand losing graciously is part of the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student Ambassador National Honor Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I complete 40 service hours every year in and around my community. I have started and played in every Varsity game for both Volleyball and Basketball beginning my freshman year. I have grown into both a vocal (when needed) and teach by example leader. I love my teammates and I am always encouraging them. If they make a mistake, we move on, it is next ball or next play.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

Looking for colleges where I can use my positive energy to uplift the team whether I am on the floor or cheering on the bench. I am planning on majoring in Education.

Dunmire has one of the biggests arm on this team. She had a great fall high school season and is showing more assertiveness as a primary attacker this club season. At 6’0, she can get up and make aggressive contact. Her setters use her in a variety of ways in their offense as she can score through mid-tempo options at the pins and out of the back row and through quicker tempos around the setter as well.

At 4.8 k/s, the 6’0 Dunmire is the Vikings’ biggest offensive point scorer this season. She overwhelmingly has seen the most opportunity for her team and is handling it well given her .242 efficiency through the high volume of work. Scoring through different attack points, she uses her length well to get up and swing aggressively. Her size also benefits her defensively as she can put up a big block and develop range in the back row as she provides over 11 digs per match.
