The Newport High School prospect has terrific size and strength at the middle position. 6’2″ with strong hands: Sugden is an impressive blocking force and showed off improved footwork and scoring ability during the club season. She was effective running quicks and in the seam, and will either hammer away or use her excellent vision and drop in a crafty tip to an empty part of the court. Sugden moves up to #69 overall in the rankings.

Sugden is a very physical MB for Newport. This season, she continued to develop her overall play and technique. She has terrific size and can make life hard for middles across the net with her strong block. Offensively, Sugden has good power when she lines up a swing and a strong power tip she uses to score when the set is off. We expect her to continue to improve during the club season as she grows more and more confident in her offensive game.

Sudgen is a 6’2″ MB who can play across the front line, takings swings from both pins for her NPJ Seattle 16 squad. She has terrific length and plays strong at the net, Sugden makes good moves on overpasses and jousts, putting the ball down with confidence. A high ceiling player from Newport High School, we expect Sugden to make rapid improvements in her overall game with continued training with the excellent NPJ program.
