Jeremy Deckard | Prep Dig Scout
I have written a ton about Foster of late, but in my opinion, she remains the top uncommitted libero in the Kansas Class of 2026. She finished her prep career with a second-place finish at the Class 4A State Tournament. She finished her senior season with 400 assists and just fell short of 1,500 digs for her career with a final total of 1,488. She recorded three straight seasons with 400 or more digs. She was also named to the Class 4A KVCA All-State Tournament team. She has an offer to college volleyball at Washburn University. I hope I get to feature her one more time in a Prep Dig report coming after she announced a commitment to play libero at the collegiate level.

Foster was one of three Hayden Wildcats featured on the Kansas Sports Chatter Podcast this week. She played her normal, poised, and solid game against the Cyclones. She finished the match with nine digs and eight serve receptions. The Wildcats remained undefeated after a 25-17, 25-11 win before playing the nightcap against the host T-Birds. Foster is ranked No. 36 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

Foster posted solid numbers in the win. She is one of only two seniors on the Hayden roster, and she picks the team up and fights through long rallies. She finished the match with a team-high 10 digs and 14 serve receptions. She has excellent footwork and helps lead the young roster when the going gets tough. Foster is ranked No. 36 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028 and is one of my favorite uncommitted liberos. She went on a recent college visit to a Big 12 program.

As with all of the members of the Class of 2026, I never know if the next time I see them play might be the last time I see them play. I can say with certainty that I will miss seeing Foster play libero for the Hayden Wildcats after she graduates. Depending on Saturday’s schedule in Baldwin, I might miss seeing Hayden this weekend, but I should have ample opportunities later in the season as well. She registered 455 digs last season and already has more than 1,000 career digs. Here is a fun nugget: did you know that in Alabama, there is also a Hayden Wildcat prep team?

Hands down, one of the top uncommitted liberos in Kansas is Foster. The Hayden senior is ranked No. 36 overall and is the No. 5 overall-ranked libero in Kansas. What I like most about her are two intangibles that you can’t see from a stat sheet. She is a leader and is an unselfish athlete. She plays on a team with absolute studs who are younger than her. I have seen it too many times over the years: players who leave a program because they think seniors should play ahead of underclassmen, and too many high school coaches run off for letting underclassmen play in front of upperclassmen. Foster protects her Wildcat Kits like a mean old mamma bear! Not to mention, she has back-to-back seasons with 400-plus digs.

I almost always see the Wildcats play multiple times during the season. Although the Hayden gym is one of the hottest in the state, it’s the closest high school to my house. Foster is a defensive whiz that I have seen play a ton over the past two seasons, both for her prep team and her club team. I look forward to seeing her play at least one more time before her high school journey is over. She is ranked No. 30 overall in the Prep Dig Kansas Rankings.

Foster is coming off a successful spring soccer season and will be at the Seaman tournament with her Hayden teammates. Hayden was a young club last season that finished third at the Class 4A State Tournament. I look forward to seeing how this squad of young multi-sport athletes plays this early in the summer. I plan on scouting Hayden’s 8:30 am opening match against Emporia. Foster is a defensive guru who, last season, was the glue for the Wildcats. She is ranked No. 30 overall and is the third-ranked libero in the Kansas Class of 2026.

Hitters often get the bulk of headlines and attention, but one of my favorite liberos in Kansas is Hayden’s Foster. Hayden was loaded with hitting talent last fall, so it was easy to overlook Foster’s importance and leadership. Hayden does not qualify and finish third at state without Foster serving as the defensive backbone for a young squad. She is a member of the 1,000-dig club after recording a junior season with 455 digs. She has registered back-to-back seasons with more than 400 digs.
