Ella Grace brings a mature first-contact presence to the outside. Her serve has been a visible part of North Forsyth’s postseason and region play, and I like the way that skill fits into the rest of her profile. She isn’t waiting until the ball is set to her before trying to influence a point.

That matters for a senior pin. Serving can be an offensive weapon when a player understands target more than velocity — attacking a seam, forcing a specific passer to move or taking a quick-tempo option away before the setter ever touches the ball. Ella Grace also gives North Forsyth an experienced attacking option once the rally develops. The combination makes her useful at both ends of a rotation rather than defining her only by what happens on a swing. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Ella Grace created pressure from behind the end line, finishing with four aces while adding six digs. MaxPreps marked it as her strongest performance of the season to that point.

The bigger takeaway is intentional serving. A serve does not have to land untouched to change a rally. When a player can move passers, force an opponent away from target or make an attacker handle first contact before transitioning, she begins creating advantages before her own defense even touches the ball. Ella Grace also contributed defensively, showing that her impact did not disappear once the serve crossed the net. That ability to influence consecutive phases is what makes serving pressure especially valuable. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga
