About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive and quick. Every ball is mine, and I will go after every ball and hit the floor. I love making amazing saves on defense. I also love celebrating great plays with my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love the team sport atmosphere of volleyball. I am mentally tough. Volleyball is a game of mistakes. You must move on to the next point. I focus on lifting the team up, creating momentum, and fun too.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Junior Honor Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

All of the above are part of every aspect of my school life and athletics. Bringing the team together, lifting them up, helping call hits and blocks, and driving communication. Community service is a big part of NJHS.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to all, but academics are important to me.

Ella has a great awareness for the game, and you can see that from her play in the back row. She does a great job sniffing out tips and getting to the ball. Her fairly long arms for a Libero/DS I believe helps her track balls down as well. Stays controlled on the court staying on her feet during passes and digs. Seems to have good hands and a nice platform for passing. Also has a nice serve that seems to go deep and on an angle into zone 1.
