Already committed to Morehead State, one can see why immediately on first viewing. Long, lean and quick, Ella’s used as the right side on a pin-forward roster. She’s a problem for opposing attackers, as her length presses across the net taking away multiple options regularly. When attacking, she hits at her max jump, and can terminate from either pin with ease.

A big pin attacker that can change a match? Insert Ella into this roster, and you’ve got the answer. Her ability to make some blocks look irrelevant is innate, and her high volleyball IQ makes her a better “big” than the lumbering over-six-footers that you usually see from small schools. The Morehead State commit is under-the-radar because, at least in THIS part of the state, she’s an unknown commodity that’s about to make her closeup on the biggest stage.
