The UW Milwaukee commit currently leads the state in total kills with 286, averaging just over five kills per set for Lakeside Lutheran where she recently surpassed 1,000 career kills. Scheutz has all the shots in the book where she can go cross, line, roll, and she does a really nice job of using the block. She is able to mix things up and find what the defense is giving her (which typically isn’t much). Aside from her high level offensive game, she is a really steady and lethal defender where she is so consistent in serve receive as well. I think her game could translate really well to the Horizon League where she doesn’t have much of a weakness.

Ella has been on the rise through these rankings for a while. She is a lethal pin hitter who can earn points from all six rotations. Ella is athletic and always improving her game. She has a clean contact on the ball and still has a lot of potential!

Ella is a powerhouse pin with a huge approach and a lethal line shot. She can swing through or around nearly any block. She never misses a beat on the court and is highly effective in transition and out-of-system plays. During the high school season, she averaged 4.6 kills per set and had 459 kills, 264 digs, and 395 service receptions. Ella can swing out of the front and back row and is an explosive 6-rotation athlete.

Ella has an incredible amount of raw athletic talent. She has a high contact point, and she was nearly unstoppable once she got going at the showcase. It is amazing when she connects with a set – her power is massive. She is an athlete that exploded onto my radar and is insanely talented.

Schuetz was an amazing find this weekend. Brand new to my radar but definitely one to keep an eye on. She hit really well from either pin and was not afraid to put a lot of pace on the ball. Schuetz has a nice vertical to go along with her 6’1 frame and we saw her working on a number of different shots as well as just pound the ball when the opportunity presented itself.
