About Ellie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as fast and efficient. I like making smarter decisions, rather than trying to make a “pretty” set. I like running quick offense as much as possible, even in certain out of system situations.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality for games is very competitive and intense, which is why I usually listen to my hype playlist before each game!! Personality wise, I am outgoing and very talkative, I would say I am a friendly person :)

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my school’s choir program! I’ve received awards in the program, as well as singing in All-District Choir. I also have 10 years of experience playing piano, and accompany my school’s choir. I have placed and won many piano competitions over the years. I am involved with a couple clubs at school including Noteworthy (acapella), and I am president of the Asian Student Association.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership qualities in my school choir program and in the clubs. I have also done some community service from peer tutoring and playing piano in retirement homes. Teamwork was a quality that I developed in school, mostly from projects, and made getting into volleyball easier for me!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is highly selective in academics because that is the area that I challenge myself the most in. Additionally, I am looking for a school that offers rigorous business programs. I am also looking for a college that has a more urban or suburban setting because I love being in the city!
