About Elyse

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an energetic player player with a high volleyball IQ. My goal is to put my hitters in the best situation possible while making sure no balls hit the ground.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very driven to improve my mental and physical game each time I step on the court. I have a strong desire to win and improve my skills each season. I am a very laid back person and have an even temperament on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an ambassador for my school and attend many recruitment nights to show off our school to prospective students.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have grown up in a house with a service mindset. My parents are both in education, one is a teacher and the other is a Principal. They have taught me that my education is my top priority in life to achieve my goals. Throughout my life they have always been giving back to their schools and communities through service by running the church festival or chairing the Relay for Life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

No, my parents have worked hard to make sure I have as many opportunities to increase my skills on and off the volleyball court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a smaller school that will allow me to study Psychology or Criminology before applying for Law School. I would love a school that has a personalized education so I can get to know my professors and excel in my field of study.
