About Emersyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I go out and give 100% every time I am out on the court. I leave it all out there on the court. I treat every play like it is the game winning point. I go out with a positive attitude no matter what and continue to encourage others to the very end of the game. I am a team player and I am always happy for my teammates first then myself.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard working, caring, loving individual that only wants the best for myself and others around me. I am a person that works hard but also knows how to have fun as well. I am grateful most of all to God and my parents for guiding me as always in the right directions.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of Beta Club and National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have grown so much as a leader. I have been the captain on my club volleyball team for the last 4 years. I have learn to encourage others and praise others. I have to learn to communicate and help others as well. I always treat my teammates the way I want to be treated, that we are all equal. As far as community service, I volunteer over 200 service hours a year in schools & camps.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The challenges I have faced the most has been believing in myself. I know I work hard and I am in the gym everyday improving my game that I love so much. I am the hardest on myself. I have had to learn that I need to take pride in my accomplishments that I have worked so hard to achieve.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that feels like family and home to me. I want a college coach that will push me to my limits and help me to continue to grow in the game I love the most.
