Mudd steps to ball and uses a nice platform to form walls around them for simple, crisp first touches on defense and serve reception. She has great control even when she has to dive after balls. She continues to refine the topspin on her serves. Mudd sends balls to various locations on the court and aggressively goes after struggling passers.

Mudd hit the up-and-coming list in the club pre-season, but has taken numerous strides as a defensive specialist. Mudd stops in her tracks and consistently beats balls to their destinations on the ground. Mudd only lunges out of necessity, yet maintains steady ball control. She puts great topspin on her serves. Mudd mixes up service locations unless she finds a weakness.
