Expert Analysis
Mike Graham | Prep Dig Scout
Bird had an outstanding freshman campaign for the Cats in the fall. She has such a good wrist snap that balls come flying off her hands and sometimes off blocks and out of bounds. Bird sends tough line hits and crosses over the net. She’ll position her body to shove balls to the shallow one zone only to quicky adjust and send it to the four zone. She makes precise passes and smokes serves to different parts of the court. Bird had 312 kills, 270 digs and 52 aces for the Cats in the fall, helping them go 21-10 and win the 55th District championship for the first time since 2021.
