Mechenbier remains among the top prospects in this Ohio class largely based on the high school season where she led the Perry Pirates’ offense at 3.1 k/s, many of them emphatic deliveries from the big force of contact she can create. She excelled on the basketball court this season as well, earning an all-district 1st team honor. She’ll head into the track season next to try to repeat her DII state championship in the shot put in 2025.
