About Emily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am Emily Sultani, a 2028 OH and MB. I aspire to play at the highest and most competitive level in college. Furthering my volleyball career, I want to compete professionally, past the collegiate level and then continue my volleyball journey, playing in the Olympics.Going into freshman year I played Varsity as a starting 3 rotation MB.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I communicate with my teammates and love bringing loud and goofy energy on and off the court! I am always determined to push and deliver the best outcome, even if me and my team are down and will always have the "get better" mentality, knowing there is ALWAYS room for improvement!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved and am an officer for multiple clubs such as: French club, MUN club, French Honor Society, ADL Club, Spanish Honor Society & I am involved in the Meals on Wheels organization as an active member along w/ the Elf Louise Organization that I participate in every Christmas! I received the "Best Public Speaker" award at AUSMUN 2024 along with other debate awards & was inducted into SHS.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Some skills I have developed such as leadership were taking on multiple officer and captain roles in multiple extracurricular activities, always using my voice to speak out! I develop community service skills in constantly being an active member of non-profits and working with others (using my teamwork skills) in those situations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced multiple injury challenges such as having a blood clot in my right (dominant hitting) shoulder & having to get a rib removed in summer of 2025. That was very challenging for me to regain a lot of my hitting strength that I had lost post-op. The day I was cleared I was right back in the gym and was working out everyday. I now start varsity in the 25-26 HS season & on a national team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for the most competitive (academically and athletically) college that I can go to and make a loud positive impact on. I am looking for a college that will challenge me, not only on the court but also in the classroom.
