About Emily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive at the net. Quick reflects with over a 30" vertical so can react quickly. Can see the court well to place the hit strategically for the kill.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mom played in the WNBA so naturally have an aggressive and competitive personality. The youngest with two older brothers who played high level AAU basketball so always a competition in the house. Loves to win and enjoys being a good teammate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Various academic awards as well as plays high level AAU basketball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Natural leader on and off the court. Enhanced teamwork skills through playing multiple sports when growing up which taught me to be adaptable in any situation.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Developed a stress fracture in my foot but was determined to play through it to participate in some bigger tourneys. Did have to take 6 weeks off which were very hard to do. Had to get back into the swing of things right before high school volleyball season started. Since the coach didn't know me I had to work extra hard at earning a spot as a freshman and got moved up to start middle on Soph.
