About Emily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I try to stay focused and locked in on winning. I ask myself if I could be putting in more effort and focus. I also try to be as aggressive as possible.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try to work hard and prioritize my goals. I continue to work harder as a response to failure.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Sending Sunshine. I am also a THP strength athlete. Last year I was a secretary for my school's FCA club. I loved it and I met some awesome friends.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I learned how to be a leader. Specifically for myself. I learned that I'm not going to have someone that will take me to my goal and I need to be the one to take initiative and support myself when it gets hard.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I get told that I can't hit because I'm short. I have been told by friends, family, and coaches that I will never be a hitter and I get boxed into being a Libero. I am short, but I'm working through it. I'm also not doing club this year, but I will still be in the weight room, at open gyms and clinics, and playing as much as I can. got cut from high school team :( oh well

What type of college are you looking for?

Preferably a college in California, but I'll go to the college that is best for my growth and affordable.
