Her bread and butter is at the net, and she is a shutdown blocker no matter who is attacking on the other side. She will have another chance to pile up points facing Mead tomorrow in a loser-out match.

Gutke will compete at Auburn in the SEC Conference next season, and the 6’3″ MB makes plays in every match that show her high major potential. She has the length and press to shut down opposing middles entirely, and when Gutke takes a rip in system, it’s nearly a certain point for the Spartans.

Gutke is every bit of her listed 6’3″ height and creates easy opportunities for her defense when opposing hitters tip and roll over and around her block. She scored at a high percentage at Emerald City and has a toss to the back corner she uses as an off-speed shot. Her fiery play against WVBA 18 Adidas was a terrific glimpse into her ability to be a difference-maker as a blocker.

Gutke and her Sudden Impact 16 Thunder team will compete in the 18 Open Division at Emerald City. The middle from Skyline has a long 6’3″ wingspan and is difficult to stop when she runs fast tempo attacks with her talented setters. Gutke can rack up blocks in a hurry with her excellent press and work rate defensively.

Gutke was a force in the middle for SIVBC 16 Thunder, who have had a very successful season thus far. The team has often been playing up in age level, and in the Open Division when playing 16’s. Gutke causes issues with her length, not only as a blocker but as an attacker as well. She is hitting down on the block at times and bangs the ball hard off hands to score. Her fellow middle Lauryn Coleman proved too athletic and dynamic for teams to handle over the weekend, and libero Kaitlyn Nguyen was a “good” trouble maker from the service line.

Gutke has her Skyline team off to a solid start, the 6 foot 3 middle is among the state leaders in blocks as only a sophomore. Her press at the net does more than directly score, it’s an intimidation factor that causes errors and easy shots from opposing offenses. Her offense is picking up with increased attempts, with matches of 10 and 14 kills in the last week, and a hitting percentage over .400.

Gutke is making a jump on the offensive side for her SIVBC Typhoon team this season. The 2026 middle from Skyline is pushing 6’3” and is tracking the pass, following her setter, and staying available. When the set comes her way she is driving it hard into the corners and moving it around the block. Gutke is extremely effective going up strong with two hands and scoring on an overpass. She has the vision to drop in a soft tip, that touch is a nice change up to her increasingly strong swing.

Gutke was an honorable mention all-league as a freshman, and the 2026 middle has the length and athletic ability to dominate at the net. Her Sudden Impact 15 Typhoon team looks loaded and ready for the MHMC, featuring a roster of excellent 2026 and 2027 prospects.
