About Emma

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a defensive specialist and libero, I play with high-energy, high IQ approach to the back row. I am relentless and vocal floor general who thrives on keeping the ball alive through quick lateral movement, disciplined serve-receive, and a 'never-drop' mentality. I pride myself on my court awareness and ability to read hitters early and efficient transition opportunities for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I describe myself as a kind, selfless, and ambitious person who leads with a positive, 'always smiling' personality on and off the court. While I am supportive and focused on my team's success, I also play with a 'Mamba Mentality'-bringing relentless work ethic, high level of discipline and constant drive to improve every single day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in French Club, Future Health Professionals, and Student Leadership

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a strong foundation in vocal leadership, organization, and collaborative problem-solving. Being involved in clubs has given me the ability to connect with diverse groups of people and has taught me how to lead with empathy while maintaining a high level of accountability.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my most significant challenges has been navigating math classes, a subject that doesn't always come easily for me. I put in the extra hours of practice, seeking help when needed, and refusing to give up until I understand the material. This experience has taught me that success is a result of discipline and persistence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is rich in culture and offers a diverse, inclusive community where I can grow both as a student and an athlete. I am specifically seeking a university that offers a strong program in the Occupational Therapy field, as I am ambitious about pursuing a career where I can help others.
