In her senior year, McFarland will play a big role with Dawson. An athletic and skilled pin hitter, she gets very involved with her team’s play and contributes on both sides of the ball with great efficiency. McFarland jumps well and uses her length even better to make contact with the ball at a high point and beat the blockers standing in her way. She has a good variety of shots in her arsenal and picks well from them, making very few errors and scoring with efficiency. The outside hitter is also very efficient with her passing, handling well the serves that go her way.

McFarland did a great job on the two sets she was on the court and contributed to Dawson’s victory on both sides of the ball. She had no trouble overcoming Elsik’s blockers at the net and scored at a very good rate with her swings. The outside hitter was solid with her passing too and made some nice digs, especially on set three. She also displayed an interesting topspin jump serve, which could become an interesting weapon if she continues to develop it.
