Player Bio
About me
My name is Emme Shaffer and I play high school volleyball for Arlington High School in Arlington, WA. I also play for Skagit Island Volleyball Academy 16-1 South Blue. During my sophomore year of high school I had 106 kills and hit 0.114. I also had 203 digs, 334 service receptions and 30 aces with a 93.2% serve per
What position(s) do you play? What do you view as your strengths?
I am a 5'11" OH/6-rotation player for both my high school and club teams. I am very athletic and am able to see the court well. I enjoy playing defense almost as much as hitting and am a great passer with a good ability to read a hitter. I am also a reliable server being able to hit any spot on the court,
What type of school are you looking for?
I am looking for a school where I can continue to play volleyball and that offers a program in criminology/psychology/sociology. I don't have a preference on the level/division. I am just looking for the right fit that checks all the boxes both athletically and academically and passes the broken leg test. I have been looking at schools in the midwest, south and west.
What are your interests outside of Volleyball?
Outside of indoor volleyball, in the summer you'll find me at the beach playing volleyball. Several of my club teammates and I swap partners over the summer and play in various beach tournaments. I also play on my high school golf team. To stay strong for volleyball, I go to Crossfit 3-4 times per week. I love to hang out with my friends when possible.
Closing Statement
Volleyball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Nothing would make me happier than continuing to play in college. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my accomplishments so far and if you'd like to see more highlights or game footage, please reach out.
