About Emmie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my style as adaptive. I adjust my style based on the flow of the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I thrive under pressure; staying calm when the game heats up and I'm always looking for creative ways to turn challenges into opportunities.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active member of my school's volleyball and basketball teams, where I contribute both skill and team spirit. Over the past few years, I have also competed in multiple events for the Camarillo Academic Olympics, showcasing my dedication to academic excellence. I have consistently earned honor roll recognition, reflecting my commitment to both athletics and academics.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong teamwork and leadership skills through school and club volleyball, learning to support and communicate with teammates under pressure. I am a Kindergarten aid and that has strengthened my responsibility and mentorship abilities, while participating in academic and community activies has taught me discipline, commitment, and the value of giving back.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I've faced is balancing rigorous academics with competitive sports and extracurricular commitments. Learning to manage my time effectively, stay disciplined, and maintain focus under pressure has taught me resilience, perserverance, and the ability to excel in multiple areas without sacrificing quality and dedication.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with strong academics and a competitive volleyball program, where I can grow as a student, athlete, and leader while contributing to the community.
