About Emmy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to move the ball around as much as I can. Decision making is very important to me as well as being strong in defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I support and cheer for my teammates, give feedback if helpful, and keep a calm but hype composure on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Nates Honors Club, which is an animal rescue. I am in Honor Choir and have made All County Choir three years in a row.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed great leadership and teamwork skills throughout my sports career. I have done team sports my whole life and understand the importance and accountability of being a teammate. I have also been a setter my whole volleyball career which quickly teaches you the importance of leading not just as a decision maker but as a captain as well.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I understand that I am not the tallest player at my position. Many setters are taller, but that has pushed me to develop stronger court awareness, faster decision making, and consistent defensive skills. I have learned to use my speed, leadership, and volleyball IQ to make an impact beyond height. This challenge has motivated me to work harder and stand out through my effort and skill.
