Miss Duronio earned her Top Performer award with a defensive performance that was hard to ignore from the first drill segment of the day. At 5’5″, she has real length for the libero position, and she used every bit of it to cover ground that shorter defenders would have surrendered. Her platform was solid while still soft and her reads on opposing hitters came earlier than when they contacted the ball. She communicated constantly, kept her side of the net organized, and competed with a consistency that did not waver as the day went on. Madfrog develops defensive players at a high level and Duronio is a product of that standard. The sportsmanship she carried throughout the event was just as visible as her technical production, and the players around her responded to it. She is one of the more complete young liberos to come through a Prep Dig showcase in the 2030 class so far. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
