How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a coachable leader who leads by example on and off the court with strong and consistent swings. I make quick adjustments on the court while being focused and bringing the best out of my teammates. I always have a positive attitude while bringing the energy to the court. I try my hardest in practice so I can improve and be the best player on the court.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I bring contagious energy and a loud voice to every game. As a caring teammate I uplift my teammates and push everyone to be the best. I stay motivated, focused, and always driven to win each game. I bring the competition to the court and always ball out .
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’ve gotten recognized for my academic excellence with multiple Principal Honor Roll for straight A’s. I’ve also gotten a leadership award for setting a positive attitude around my classmates and being a role model among peers. These awards show my hard work, responsibility, and being a leader in the classroom and on the court.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my volleyball journey I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills, learning how to lead by example and uplift my teammates. I value teamwork, stay coachable, and bring a positive mindset to practice and games.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest challenges I faced in volleyball is learning how to get out of my head during tough moments. I’ve improved on having a stronger mindset focusing on staying in the present, staying confident, and being positive while things aren’t going perfectly. This growth has helped me become mentally tougher and helped me focus under pressure.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a competitive college volleyball program at the division 1 level that will challenge me everyday to improve my game and reach my highest potential. I want to be around teammates who will uplift me and push me to be the best. I’m also looking for a school with good academic program that will support me both on the court and in the classroom.
