About Evelyn

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

I feel that I can move on from my mistakes quickly and use my pasts mistakes as determination for the next play. This allows me to become a more consistent athlete in games.

What are you working to improve right now?

I am working to become a more consistent setter as well as improving by defense as a setter in front and back row.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I desire a college volleyball program where the players lift up each other with encouragement and positive body language. I want my teammates to celebrate our wins together instead of focusing on how "unfair" the playing time was or constantly looking for something negative. I want the mindset of the coach and team to be that yes we want to win but the process is more important than the outcome.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I am the oldest of 4 girls and I love making friends with different kinds of people and being social. I am also very involved in my home church with going to services, Youth group, and church camps.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I am currently enrolled in a program that is called Construction Technologies at Kent Roosevelt Public Schools, OH that will allow me to get a jump start on my passion for interior design with my lessons my junior year and then my internship my senior year. I hope to pursue a major in interior design as well as high level volleyball.
