About Evelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Consistent, calm passes but I love going the extra mile to get the save. I'm a team player who loves celebrating my teammate's successes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I not only bring energy, but share it on and off the court. I love to have fun and build positive relationships in all areas of my life. I'm reliable and always early. Going the extra mile to make someone smile makes my day. I can't go a day without laughing and having fun, but I'm the most competitive person you'll ever meet. Community, family and school are just as important as volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Throughout volleyball, I've learned how to take the leadership role when others need help, and have also learned that as a libero it's important to be loud, and take control when needed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have anxiety and had a really hard time with it a few years ago. Volleyball has helped me gain confidence and shown me how to control my feelings when anxiety starts. These skills help me off the court too. My time at school and during community events are fun and I don't get nervous like I used to.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm interested in dentistry and I love writing and English. I haven't decided on a major yet though. Right now, I am looking at colleges that are all across the country but generally medium to large sized schools.

She read hitters exceptionally well, anticipating cross-court swings and digging balls that extended critical rallies.

In scramble situations, Evelyn never stopped moving. She pursued second contacts, covered tips, and kept plays alive that most teams concede.
