About Faith

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an aggressive player, work hard to make each play happen, keep the ball in play, sacrifice to win the point, and help to keep positive energy flowing during match. I try to find an opponents weakness on the floor and use it to my advantage. I play all the way around for both my high school and club teams. I like to move around in the front row hitting any position but mainly from the outside

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am generally a shy person off the court, but on the court I am a captain so I lead by example. I work to keep communication open on the floor to keep team working together and having fun. I enjoy celebrating each point and keeping positive energy on the floor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am apart of Fellowship for Christian Athletes, Captains Council, and Coach for a Tots program through Spire.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I volunteer yearly for our kids volleyball camp run by our Varsity Volleyball High School team, volunteer reffing for the kids league through spire, and serve on our captains council which volunteers all over our community serving mostly elderly in our county.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I play three sports year round for my high school while playing at an elite level for club volleyball during JO season. I have been nominated 2nd team All Ohio for volleyball and Honorable Mention All Ohio in basketball. I have large shoes to fill in each roll I play in volleyball, basketball, and softball for my high school. This is great to be apart of so much but can be challenging.

What type of college are you looking for?

My only goal is to hopefully earn a full ride through my hard work and dedication.

The Ashtabula County Player of the Year hit a handful of milestones in 2025 including surpassing 1,000 career kills. She now has 1,210 kills for her career. Defensively, she also crossed the 1,000 mark as she has 1,054 for a career average of 14.2 d/m. Edgewood’s season ended just shy of the regional round as Vencill had 27 kills and 19 digs in the loss. Over the final stretch of the season she was playing some of her best offensive ball with 133 kills over their last six matches for a 5.8 k/s average, just ahead of her season mark. Vencill was a 2nd team all-Ohio selection in DIV in 2024.
