About Finley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a smart player, always trying to find the best way to keep the ball up and find the best place to put the ball in order to score.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very uplifting teammate, always finding ways to keep the environment positive, even if the game is not going as we plan. I am a confident player and I try to help others have that confidence in themselves.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in a leadership group at my church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Throughout my time playing volleyball I have developed many leadership skills. Being able to hold myself and my teammates accountable for what we can control in a kind way has been one of my best qualities that I have found to help my team the most. I also attend mission trips with my church, helping refugees and helping smaller churches grow.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge for me could be changing positions for club and learning to play a new spot over the summer, while tryouts were being moved earlier as well.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a positive playing environment where I can develop as a player physically and mentally, and where I can get a great education while still playing for a competitive team.
