Expert Analysis
Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
Brkic may be undersized as a primary pin but she is consistent in her action, which makes her a big factor and in consideration among the top 2028 talent in Ohio. She has a full range of tools as an attacker and plays with great confidence in what she can do at the net and out of the back row. She can swing for power and range but also is crafty with her touch. The NDCL product led the Lions offensively last season at 3.2 k/s and will return much better this fall with what she brings to the court.

I like Brkic’s game a lot, not only because she has great fundamental tools as a six-rotation pin, but because she is reliable through the volume of opportunity she gets offensively. At 5’9, she can pass effectively to ignite their offense. As an attacker, Brkic can also put some good power or finesse on the ball when in-system and on time. However, its through the broken situations that she most displays her attacking I.Q. and range of arm control and skills to make a quality play that can put pressure on the opponent.

Brkic is productive at all six spots on the floor. Her ball control is off the charts. Brkic smacks the ball from both the front and back row with sound mechanics. She instinctively trails the ball well and has a sound line drive serve.

Brkic is one of the few 2028s that saw significant time at the varsity level in the freshman season. NDCL finished 19-8 overall as she provided a team high 3.2 k/s while adding 272 total digs, second best for the Lions. The 5’9 pin is an athletic attacker and she was evaluated a few times during the past club season, she was a big threat for AVC and will return to make another significant impact with even more range and polish as a primary arm in what should be a deep and balanced system. She gets off the floor well and has good mechanics to swing with control and placement or to unload with some good pace. At 10.1 d/m, Brkic was one of two Lions in double digit digs average for the high school season.
