About Gabriela

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very calm player on the court, I do very well under pressure. Very communicative and helpful on the court when I am needed. I bring a lot of energy on the court, I’m a very happy and smiley person so when my teammates are down I help them bring their energy back up!!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My attitude on the court is good I rarely get upset even under pressure I’m still not mad or not communicative. As the Captain of my team I try to hold myself accountable when I do mess up. Even if I get upset with one of my teammates I don’t show it because it might cause them to get anxious or upset as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I help ref basketball and volleyball for my club directors league.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last year my 16s team was one of the best in the club, I don’t blame the coach but I had a hard time working with her. She was a great coach, I love her coaching style. I was struggling with things outside of volleyball which cause me to struggle in practice and games. I have learned a lot from then and let everything else outside of volleyball stay outside.
