About Gabriella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am coachable and competitive. I take pride in my leadership, consistency, communication, and hustle. I believe a libero’s leadership shows in the small details—keeping the ball off the floor and encouraging my teammates during and after rallies. My mindset is simple: be the most reliable defender on the court, bring energy to every point, and do whatever the team needs to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am relentless and resilient. I give my all to everything I set out to do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm a high academic achieving student at Tampa Prep who is repeatedly listed on The Head's List and has received the Citizenship Award, Civics Award, Terps4Life Award, and multiple honorable mentions in various subjects. I'm also a member of NJHS, Prep Student Leaders, and Latin Club. Every year, I participate in the State Latin Forum and receive awards for my projects and team contributions.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As Captain of my middle school and high school JV teams as well as multiple club teams, I have learned to be a better leader as well as the importance of communication, One of the greatest lessons of being a teammate is to accept there is no "I" in team. It is our combined efforts as a team that makes a difference.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the most significant challenges I have faced is balancing my academic, athletic, and personal responsibilities. It's no easy task, but by making the most of every minute and being focused and determined, I have been able to meet this challenge head-on. Also, I have learned to accept that I will make mistakes but to focus on the bigger picture.

What type of college are you looking for?

While I am very interested in playing volleyball at the highest level, I want to attend a school that offers strong and rigorous academic programs of study.
