About Gabriella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a quick, instinctive, and vocal libero/ds who thrives on reading the game, covering the court with hustle, and keeping the defense organized. I take pride in serve receive consistency, aggressive pursuit of every ball, and being the energy spark for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court, I’m focused, competitive, and positive. I stay calm under pressure, always communicate, and bring energy to keep my team motivated. I’m mentally tough and always ready to fight for every point.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been committed to McAllen PREMIER National team for the past 4 years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to always support my teammates. I lead by example through hard work, consistency, and staying composed in tough moments. I’m focused on building trust and keeping our team connected on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced challenges like overcoming tough losses, adjusting to new positions, and pushing through injuries or setbacks. Each one has taught me resilience, patience, and how to stay focused on growing as a player and teammate.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive volleyball program, strong team culture, and coaches who value development and work ethic. I also want a school that offers strong academics and feels like a good fit both on and off the court.

Saenz was a stud with the MPV 15N-Maverick team that ended up in fourth place after getting six wins and two losses. She was one of the best pure defenders in the division and made a difference for her team in the backcourt with her excellent production. Saenz was impeccable with her positioning and got to touch on several balls, managing to control most of them and giving his team another chance to score. She transmitted a lot of safety to the team in serve-receive too, doing a great job of directing passes to her setter.
