About Gennese

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a ds/lib I know that I will do anything to get the ball up and in play wether its diving into the crowd after a shanked ball or sacrificing my body to chase after a ball across the court. But I'm not just a skilled player I also love encouraging my teammates on the court and reassuring them that we will get the next point.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a team captain I hold a lot of responsibilities on the court by making sure my girls are always hyped up when we play. Im always the type of person to crack a joke if we're down a couple points just to relieve the pressure of my teammates and to reassure them that if we win or lose we should just have fun.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I started playing volleyball in middle school and the first position I played was outside hitter. Throughout the years Ive been playing every position I can to improve my skills and work on whats needed on the court wether its communication, hitting, serving, setting, or passing I know that I can do anything to fill the satisfaction of my team and help them build confidence and trust.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I think my biggest challenge is my confidence because although it sucks to shank a ball or miss a serve theres always another chance to redeem myself but I know that if my team sees me down theres going to be a chain reaction so I always try to put a smile on my face no matter what.
