About Gia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a fierce competitive libero, my gameplay is characterized by lightning-fast reflexes and impeccable court awareness. I excel at reading the opposing team's attacks, positioning myself to dig even the most challenging spikes. My agility and quick decision-making ensure that I can cover a vast amount of the court, making crucial saves that keep rallies alive. I am tenacious and focused.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am competitive, kind, determined, and independent. This year, I was awarded 1st Team All-District and All-State. I also broke 2 school records this year (most digs and most serve receives). However, my biggest accomplishment was getting the "Heart & Hustle" team award for the second year. I'm committed to helping my teammates succeed while continuously growing each day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer for my church nursery. FBLA State Academic Letter NHS Pirates Serve

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A few years ago I obtained COVID. This took me out of the season until nearly the very end. I returned to a new position as middle back. I took on this challenge and found I loved getting the corner balls! I also come from a divorced family. Traveling back and forth throughout the week forced me to think ahead, stay organized, and always have a plan at a young age.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to know the people around me and feel like a family. I want to interact with my volleyball teammates on and off the court. I am eager to contribute to the success of my next volleyball team and become a part of the community. Academics are important to me, so I want to go somewhere that meets my educational goals.
