Ranking jump: 49 → 37

One of the top dig totals in the state, DeRose anchored the back row all season. Her defensive consistency and All-State nod helped push her well up the rankings.

DeRose is a player who caught my eye during the high school season, enough that I kept tabs on her during the club year as she played up with the 18s. Tomorrow I’m going to focus on all of the other unsigned seniors attending, but I wanted to talk about her today. A high IQ defender, she reads the attack well, has a quick first step, and does a tremendous job of getting balls to the setter regardless of the difficulty. She’s a gamer who some schools planning to be in attendance will benefit from having on their team.
