About Grace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to encourage my teammates to do there best because I know they can. I like to go for every ball even if it’s just one touch. I try to find the open spots when I’m hitting and I try to get around the block on defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I like to have fun on the court. Keeping my team mates and myself in the right head space. I like to uplift my teammates. There are times that I get in my head but I work past it and focus on the next play. I remind myself everyone makes mistakes and that I’m not perfect. I also like to pray before games just thanking god for the opportunity to play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My freshman year we took 2nd in state. I play club for empire volleyball club in Minot ND

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learn that your mental game is just as important as you physical game. And to work you hardest every game because you never know if that will be your last time on the court. I like to make sure to let my teammates know they are doing a good job so that they don’t get in there head. I’ve learn to put things past me not only for myself but for my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Mentally I have struggled in the past but am getting better and better. I would hit it out or shank a ball and think it’s the end of the world but I now know that everyone makes mistakes, you have to learn and move on from them for yourself and your teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m not very picky but I would like it to be a Christian school.
