One of Niedermaier’s best plays came after she recognized the opposing middle blocker cheating toward the antenna. Instead of attacking hard right into the block, she adjusted midair and sliced a sharp cut shot just inside the three-meter line that landed untouched.

Niedermaier is a 5’11” outside hitter with a competitive eye when playing both in the front and back row. She moves her feet quickly into the ball, creating an angled pass that perfectly goes to the setter. Niedermaier will also chase down any ball within her vicinity.
