Williams is one of the top players in the Puget Sound League, and Capital has had success playing the 6’3″ senior on the pins and in the middle. The senior had a terrific club season for Dakine and shined at Nationals playing primarily on the right side.

It will be interesting to watch what position Wiliams finds herself in at the next level. The prospect from Capital can score from all three spots on the net and has the great length at 6’3″ to be a shutdown blocker. Williams shined on the right side, handling the ball when she had the chance, and used great footwork to be a constant threat offensively. Capital will undoubtedly have to think about Williams as a six-rotation OH, knowing that she will have a more significant hand in things than just three rotations as an RS or MB.

From Isabelle: “Grace is a go-to hitter for our team. She plays OPP for us but can play anywhere along the net. At 6’3”, she is a terminator who scores in bunches. She dominates the net with her block. Grace will shut down an outside hitter, even if they are the other team’s best player. She is versatile and can run the “2” gap and the quick in the middle.”

It seems like Williams can score with a quality swing from any position at the net. During the Showcase she put her high, hard swing into action, terminating well during the 6-on-6 session. The 6’3″ Williams is a natural fit on the RS, but is versatile enough to work as a MB and score from the outside if needed. She has been hunting and finding stuff blocks this club season, looking to score with aggressive moves at the net.

A junior from Capital High School, Williams has been impressive for Dakine 17 Surf in the early part of the season. She has been ripping the ball with authority and added power, and has found a groove taking swings behind her setter and from the right pin. Williams has found another level of aggression with her swing, she is terminating with a quick, punishing snap that is leaving defenders flat footed. The 6’3″ 2025 prospect is one to keep an eye on in Kansas City.

Williams is a rangy sophomore out of Capital High School. She tallied over 300 kills while hitting .294 during the school season. She is spending time as an outside hitter at times in both club and high school, this season at Capital her serve receive and dig numbers took a significant leap forward. It would be easy to see a permanent position change, her high attack point and size on the outside allows her to exploit smaller blockers both offensively and as an overpowering blocker.
