About Gwen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I live by the motto "the ball never touches the floor on my court". That ball belongs to someone and if not me, than who?! I am energetic and like to bring my positive energy to the court and my teammates. I love celebrating each and every point with my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

In my family we live by the saying "don't live life with regret." So, even on the court I give my all every single ball and every single point. I never want to leave the court thinking, "I could have/should have done more." I want to know that I tried my best and gave it my all. However, I am also extremely goofy and try not to take myself so seriously (I trip and laugh at myself a lot).

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an altar server at my school and Parish, Our Lady Perpetual Help in Bakersfield Ca. I have received academic achievement awards in ELA, Math, and PE. I qualified for the county science fair last year with my project on Inattentional Blindness. I also play softball for KCSA (Kern County Softball Association).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Community Service: Altar Server Leadership: Student Council Rep/ASB

What type of college are you looking for?

Gosh...I know I am only in 7th grade but I really want to attend a Division 1 school and be a collegiate athlete. My Mom is a high school counselor so she is constantly talking to me about A-G, NCAA, Dual Enrollment, and concurrent enrollment classes. I am hoping to gain valedictorian for my junior high next year since it takes into account 7-8th grade trimesters.
