Spies made an instant impression at this summer’s Missouri/Kansas Stock Up Showcase, where her defensive instincts and adaptability flourished. This Rose Hill freshman was a serve-receive workhorse for this year’s Shockwave 141 crew, taking up large chunks of the court in the middle-back area. She’s gearing up for a new phase of her club career with KNVBC and will be an immediate force across the end line. We’ve seen Spies excel in the contrasting jersey or a key substitute role, and that flexibility should be a game-changer at the 15s level. Expect a few more stars to emerge from the Wichita area soon.

We’ll add one more to the 2030 fray. Spies has yet to begin her high school career with Rose Hill, but she’s already looking to make an impression through her lockdown defense. She donned the contrasting jersey for Shockwave’s top 14s team this spring, lifting the team to a top-ten finish in Wave 2 of AAU Nationals. Shockwave was keen on plugging Spies into Zone 6 and letting her take control of the passing pattern. She brought a little more of this confidence to Sunday’s showcase.
