Expert Analysis
Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Hoos is an unexpected addition to this feature. Her work with Grand Island Senior High has proven that she can be a high-level terminator. But as Nebraska Pride Gold 17s fought for its spot at Nationals, we saw Hoos anchor the backcourt with some outstanding middle-back defense and serve receive. Club competition has brought Hoos’s defensive skills to the forefront, offering optimism that she will remain a six-rotation standout with the Islanders this fall.

Hoos is one of the earliest central Nebraska standouts to land on our recruiting radar for the Class of 2024. Now she’s suiting up for Nebraska Pride, a club that’s fielding two teams at this weekend’s bid tournament. If high-flying left-side hitters are for you, it’s best not to miss Hoos and her hard-hitting style with Gold 17s.

Hoos’ offensive production has risen considerably since she first took the court for Grand Island Senior High. Her 3.8 kills per set bested the 2.1 kills per set she put up as a freshman. It’s particularly impressive given all the other talented attacking options that the Islanders have, and Hoos will continue to be a stat stuffer to watch in central Nebraska.
