About Harper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a Setter/RS Hitter in our 6-2 system but can adapt to a 5-1 system. I love to communicate with each hitter to see what sets they prefer. I love to keep plays alive and my quickness allows me to get to balls and keep them in play. I feel my serving is a strong point as my serving percentage for the 2024 High School year was 96% with 26 aces and 118 points.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

With my mom and dad being high school coaches of multiple sports, I have grown up around athletics. My participation in basketball, softball, volleyball and cross country has made me stronger mentally, I've learned that 2 hour practice isn't enough to be successful, I put in the work off the playing surface. Athletics has made me grow as a person on and off the floor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been a member of the National Beta Club for 2 years. In 2024, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I am an active member in the following clubs/organizations: Conservation Club, HOSA, FCA and Helping Hornets.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My community is important to me and helping others is very rewarding. Through community service opportunities, I've learned the importance of teamwork. From reading to Kindergartners, leading food and clothing drives for Tornado and Flood Victims, cleaning the roadsides, and serving food at Metcalfe County Food Pantry, these services have made me grow as a young adult.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a strong Educational Program as I want to be a teacher.
