Hurt has been through her fair share of adversity, but it only makes her stronger. She lands a lot of aces with her strong serving. She uses her solid skills on first touches and strong swings. She is a sound communicator on the court.

Hurt has been used as a setter and right side hitter in a 6-2 system, but can go to a 5-1 if necessary. Communication with her teammates is important as shown on the court. Hurt tries to use her athleticism to track down balls. She is also a strong server for the Hornets. Hurt had 250 assists and 262 digs for Metcalfe County this past fall.
