Hurt is a huge reason why the Hornets have earned the top seed in the 16th District Tournament for the first time in progran history and tied a school record for most wins in a season at 25-4 on the season. Hurt brings great versatility to Metcalfe County. Hurt stars her jump before balls come to her to get more touch on her sets and does not lock her arms. Hurt consistently hits targers and executes nice fakes with numerous hitters. Hurt executes a variety of sets including back sets and has a deceptive setter dump. She shoves balls to side lines and digs up balls with one arm, providing nice net backup. Hurt also does a good job putting good spin on her serves.

Hurt has been through her fair share of adversity, but it only makes her stronger. She lands a lot of aces with her strong serving. She uses her solid skills on first touches and strong swings. She is a sound communicator on the court.

Hurt has been used as a setter and right side hitter in a 6-2 system, but can go to a 5-1 if necessary. Communication with her teammates is important as shown on the court. Hurt tries to use her athleticism to track down balls. She is also a strong server for the Hornets. Hurt had 250 assists and 262 digs for Metcalfe County this past fall.
