She also attacks in the front row while presenting tough matchups with her physical block. This talented senior represented the Eagles well in her swan song season.

Sliva can play a couple of different positions for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, a program that has become a tournament regular over the past several years. If BDS needs a right-side hitter, Sliva has the length and power to thrive in that role. Sliva is helping maintain the championship standard that BDS is known for. Few juniors in the small-town scene boast such a quick arm on the right pin. The junior opposite has a wide hitting window, meaning she finds ways to score regardless of set location. Perhaps we’ll see Sliva’s dominant attacking back in Lincoln this November.

These BDS stars already know what it’s like to be in high-pressure matches. 2023 could have more of those.

Sliva’s addition to the 2025 rankings was inevitable. She competes on the high school side for a BDS, a program that has had a seemingly permanent place in the state championships lately. When you round up some of Nebraska’s best pure opposites from outside the big cities, Sliva deserves to be in that discussion. Her 2023 campaign with South Central NE 16 Black offers further testament of that.
