About Imaya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is fearless, high-energy, and team-focused. I give 110% no matter the situation, I’m never afraid to hit the floor for a ball, and I bring loud, positive energy to every point. I’m coachable, always open to learning, and I love building up my teammates to help us all play our best.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a hardworking, positive, and driven mentality. I’m always looking for ways to grow, both as a player and a person. I take feedback as a chance to improve, and I bring energy and encouragement to every situation. I believe in lifting others up, pushing through challenges, and always giving everything I have on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, outside of sports I make it a priority to give back to my community. I’ve been involved in service projects like feeding the homeless and helping out wherever I’m needed. Whether it’s volunteering at church, school events or community drives, I try to be the kind of person who steps up and serves with heart. Giving my time to others has helped shape my character just as much as athletics has.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through sports and service, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. On the court, I lead with energy and positivity, always lifting up my teammates. Off the court, community service has taught me compassion and the importance of giving back. I stay coachable, lead by example, and always strive to help others whether it's in a game or in everyday life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, one of my biggest challenges has been overcoming mental blocks. I used to get in my head after mistakes, but I’ve learned that volleyball is a game of mistakes it’s about how you respond. I’ve surrounded myself with teammates who push me and won’t let me get down on myself. With their support, I’ve grown more confident and stronger mentally, learning to bounce back and keep competing.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically, with coaches who see my potential and push me to grow. I want a team that feels like family, built on hard work, energy, and support. I aim to succeed in the classroom, but also to grow as an athlete and a person. Above all, I’m looking for an environment where I am valued and encouraged to give my best.
