I had seen Kurtz play earlier this year at another tournament, and she was a standout then and still is today. She continues to impress every time I watch her. She has a big swing and can put pressure on a defense, but she also brings a lot to the game in passing and defense. Her hands are another part of her game that really stand out. Kurtz can set out of system and does a great job stepping in to set when she takes a free ball, helping keep the offense moving at a quick pace.

Kurtz is an undersized outside hitter that is fearless, taking on competition three age levels above her with confidence and poise. Quick, smart, and relentlessly hustle, she reads the game exceptionally well and makes dynamic plays. She already understands how to score effectively, taking aggressive swings, adjusting mid play, attacking down the line, and using blockers to her advantage. Though still young, she is far ahead of her peers in both skill and mentality, making her a player to watch as she continues to grow and develop her game.
