Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I use many techniques like crossbody and the away shot. Knowing full and well that if the ball isn’t in a good position to swing pushing the ball to the deep corners and right over the block is always an option. Staying on my toes and always moving when i am in the back row or serve receive. Also keeping up communication on and off the court.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My mindset has always been believing that I have the potential to achieve anything. My biggest competitor has never been anyone on the side of the net, it has always been myself. Just knowing that everyone is going to make a mistake so, take it as a way to succeed and improve instead of letting it get into your head. Understanding that teammates rely on me drives my ambition to never let them down
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
The principal award
All A’s for all three years in middle school
FCA leader
Perfect score on writing B.E.S.T exam
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed leadership on and off my court by just encouraging my teammates and helping them work through their mistakes/challenges. I have so much love for the sport of volleyball and helping my teammates find the same balance. But also making sure i am a good teammate first. I help in my community church with the little kids that also helps me gain leadership.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I broke my ankle last year and could play most of my season. I continued to go to physical therapy and all my practices to help my teammates. All i can remember during that time is “when can i play volleyball” and “how long till i'm healed”. Another challenge that i’m still facing today is my dad has thyroid cancer. It is a lot emotionally but as soon as i step foot on the courts i feel at home.
What type of college are you looking for?
The type of college that i am looking for is one that shows how a leader and entrepreneur especially on the courts. Also teaching skill and knowledge as seen in nurses. With a good nursing program as well.
