Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I bring a positive and consistent energy to the court and to my Team. I play calculated and am always looking for the best placement of the ball to ensure a kill. I am scrappy and put as much effort into my defense as I do my offense. My coaches and teammates would describe as the most versatile player on the Team, willing to step in and help out where ever we need assistance. I love the sport!!!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am both a positive and supportive team mate and simultaneously, the opposition's worst enemy. I consistently look for ways to improve my play, am always open for feedback both positive and constructive, and always adjust my attitude to have the memory of a goldfish! On to the next play and let's be positive and win this next point!
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a Lifeguard and I have won Team Lead for my company two years in a row. I am in Spanish Club and the Debate Club. I win awards for my participation in both clubs every year. I have also been recognized for the scoring in my English Honors class and was just placed into English and Spanish IB for my Junior year!
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I am humble and appreciative for every opportunity I receive. I have learned to become supportive and empathetic for both my Team and my Community. Every month I volunteer at The Shade Tree which is a battered women and children shelter. I have been raised by a single Mom who works multiple jobs which affords me the opportunity to play Volleyball and in return, I give back as much as I can.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My most significant challenge has been my strained relationship with my Father. It’s been almost 3 years since I have seen him and he only lives 20 min away. I have to remember he chooses not to participate in my life and that is ok! I work hard, remain positive, and appreciate my Mom who supports me in all of my dreams!
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a dynamic college, honestly of any size, large or small. I am very interested in Psychology, it is my favorite subject and would want a school that has a strong science department. I do love California but am open to any location. I would prefer a college that has a competitive division where I can grow and add my strength to!
